Living in Reno

So I’m going to be reviewing a Nikon D300s for work. Needless to say, I’m very exciting about looking at it, since it’s the next generation of my favorite camera, the D300.

So when Nikon contacted my boss, he told them to send the camera to me, for various reasons. Nikon contacted me yesterday, and they were very concerned. They wanted to check and see if I had any questions, and what my level of familiarity was with DSLR cameras, as the D300s is a “very advanced camera.”

Needless to say, I explained about my experience, and sent them to my photoblog, SierraShutter. The PR guy was impressed and said that there would be no issue sending me a camera to review. I’m hoping this is the start of a ongoing relationship with Nikon.

Thank goodness, the air felt a little chill today. And by chill, I mean 85 instead of 91. It’s amazing what a difference 6 degrees can make, but it really did feel different outside today.
