New pizza, same old Domino’s
So a week ago friday, based on the suggestion of a friend, we ordered pizza from Domino’s. I wasn’t sure, but we tried it, and it was good. In fact, I actually enjoyed the pepperoni better then my typical CB&P. Then Saturday night, we decided to order from them again. It’s cheap, tasty, and they deliver right? Well, the pizza might be better, but Domino’s still sucks just as hard as ever.
We called the same restaurant that delivered a week before, but when we tried to order from them, we were told that we were outside of their delivery area, and would need to call the other restaurant. Ok, strange, but ok.. So we call the other restaurant. They tell us that no, the first restaurant is the one that would deliver to our area, and if you look at the Domino’s restaurant map on their website, that fits. It’s actually closer to our house. So we call the first restaurant again. Again we are told that we are outside of their delivery area, despite the fact that they delivered to us a week previously. This time, the person of the phone asked the manager (who refused to come to the phone) and was told that they would not deliver to us. At this point, we’ve given up on Domino’s. In fact, I’m going to be contacting they via their corporate website, and trying to find out if the restaurant in question is a franchise or a corporate store. I’m hoping it’s corporate, because I’m really annoyed at all this.
You should send this to the consumerist.
To be fair, corporate has responded to me. The franchise owner didn’t bother.
